The technology company ACTUM Digital achieved a turnover growth of 46% in 2023 compared to 2022, closing the year with revenues of 722 million CZK. This was 221 million more than in 2022, which itself saw an 18% increase over the previous year. Over the past three years, ACTUM Digital’s cumulative turnover has increased by 118%. In 2023, ACTUM Digital acquired 28 new clients, 16 of them in the Czech Republic and 12 abroad. Foreign clients represent 70% of ACTUM Digital's turnover – although domestic turnover is increasing, its proportional share remains the same due to the strong growth of the entire group. The EBIT profit indicator rose by 92% in 2023 compared to 2022, reaching 189 million CZK, marking the best result in the company’s history.

Web Applications Hold the Largest Share of Turnover, Cloud and AI & Data See the Most Growth

Projects related to the creation and development of web presentations and e-commerce for foreign clients continued to hold the largest share of turnover. However, other services now represent almost two-thirds of the turnover, with the largest growth seen in Cloud Computing, SAP Development, CRM, AI & Data, and System Integration. Despite a decrease in demand for personnel, ACTUM Digital maintained turnover and increased profitability in the IT Outsourcing division. No service segment experienced a decline.

Cautious Approach to 2024 but with Further Expansion Plans

"After the first quarter of 2024, we continue to plan very conservatively and estimate ACTUM Digital's growth this year to be up to 20%. During the first quarter – especially in recent weeks – we have been busy discussing new projects and initiatives with clients, which is a positive signal. Clients are regaining their investment appetite. Last year, it was difficult to open any new topics with clients as most companies were waiting for market and economic developments. Although this is not yet a boom, we are seeing a positive trend and believe it will impact our business in the second half of 2024 and especially in 2025," says Tomáš Vondráček, CEO of ACTUM Digital.

While ACTUM Digital previously positioned itself primarily as a software company, it is now also focused on technology consulting. It increasingly offers services in data and artificial intelligence, system integration, supply chain management, and cybersecurity. The focus will be primarily on clients in the financial services, e-commerce, utilities, and manufacturing sectors. The main benefit of Technology Consulting for clients lies in the ability to design and prototype the required solution based on business requirements, often without the need for detailed technical specifications.

Supporting Further Growth Through Acquisitions

"We have started building an M&A team at ACTUM Digital and expect to support our growth plans with our first acquisition this year. We hope that by 2025, inorganic growth will be a significant part of our strategy. We are currently looking at suitable companies here in the Czech Republic and abroad, particularly in markets where we are commercially active and where we want to strengthen our presence," adds Vondráček.
